Dover College and St Lawrence College, Ramsgate to merge as St Lawrence Dover College

The Governing Bodies of Dover College and St Lawrence College, Ramsgate, are pleased to announce that the two schools will merge in September 2026 to form a single HMC school, St Lawrence Dover College, based on the Dover College site. The new school will join the Repton Family of Schools, benefiting from shared expertise, investment and global collaboration, while preserving the distinctive strengths of both schools. The merged school will be led by Matthew Brown as Head, with Phil Tattersall-King as Head of Senior School, creating a strong and secure future for pupils and families across Kent and beyond. The advent of St Lawrence Dover College represents one of the most exciting educational developments in the South East of England and is a vote of confidence in the not-for-profit charitable education sector.
